This one is a really special flavor. My first whiff was "I HAVE TO HAVE THIS". Imagine the strongest mint you've ever whiffed. Now, replace that with wintergreen mint. Pure awesome! However, after smoking it, I realized how specific of a setup you need to have to enjoy it the same way. If you are looking for the mellow, but not crazy wintergreen taste, you can use a little bit of this tobacco and a quick light charcoal or piece of coconut charcoal. If you crave that intense winter green, use a bit more in your baol and you will also need to use a japanese charcoal with a wind cover to keep the heat very high. You also want to make sure you have cold water in your bowl for that extra wintergreen kick. You can try mixing this flavor like you would with mint, but you will have a hard time finding something that just feels right. If you had to buy 1 flavor and you had no others at home, this is the one you should buy. The smell alone makes it worth having around.

Melon Blue by Starbuzz was a pleasent surprise. The whiff moves between great and okay, depending on if the can has been mixed recently. Smokability is light and has the right balance of taste when smoked with a light heat (quick light charcoal). There isn't really a good mix for this one; you want it alone or with a bit of mint. This gets 9/10 for the long smoking sessions you can have with this flavor and it doesn't get bland or too dry for your throat. If you are looking for a quick smoke with friends, this may not be the flavor for you. If you are looking for an enjoyable and relaxing long session, this IS it.
Mixes well with:
Mint (lightly - do not use more than 10%)

I have plenty of flavors of hookah and when running out, a quick trip to my neighborhood smoke shop is in order. The prices rising and the availabilities of your favorite bowl are always a gamble, why not make your own? On FlavorTheHookah, we're going to add a new category: "DIY SHISHA". We will post recipies of our favorites using easily obtained ingredients. Also, these recipies can also be made "tobacco free" when you mix in double the tobacco required with Damiana. Please note, that with damiana, there are some side effects. These include, but are not limited to: increased arousal, increased urination and bowl movements. Tobacco has the same effects on bown movements, but it is important to read up on Damiana before making the switch. Damiana is legal most places as it produces absolutely no high, not popular with the kids and not addictive.
Costco Mango
This is a relatively easy to make flavor and the parts to make this are very common. The smoke is plentiful and the taste can be adjusted from mild to strong.
Ingredients:
- Dried mango from costco
- Dried Tobacco (try to go for an uncoated brand, this will greatly affect the final product)
- Honey (real, fluid)
- Glycerin (try the pharmacy)
Steps:
- Cut the dried mango's from costco into very tiny pieces - 1/2 cup
- (optional) Dry the mango pieces further in a toaster oven on low. We want dry, NOT cooked.
- Mix in 1/2 cup of tobacco (loosely!) with the mango. In a large bowl, stir well (do not put pressure on the mix)
- Add Honey and a DAB of Glycerin (too much can leave a bad taste in your mouth)
- Mix well and with force. If the tobacco leaves are still dry, add more honey. Always just a dab of glycerin.
- (optional) You should use a mortar and pestle to crush it well
- Let sit overnight in airtight container
- (optional) For a strong taste, heat the mixture by placing mix in a container that is placed in bowling water. You do NOT want to allow the water to mix with your freshly made shisha. Allow the mix to cool down over night in a sealed container.
- Smoke!
You can experiement with the mix, but always remember to be sure what you are smoking. Glycerin will add more smoke and keep the leaves from burning, however, too much will make your shisha taste like burning soap.

Remember those little ice cream cups with half vanilla ice cream and half ornage sherbert?
Love that sh*t!
Here's how you can bring back a few memories.
Recipe:
1/3 Orange, 2/3 Vanilla, Pinch of Mint for cool effect.
Usually orange is a pretty strong flavor, that's why I recommend a little less than half.
Enjoy

For your information, this is not as easy as the drink, but tastes pretty good.
Recipe:
1/3 Double Apple, 1/6 Honey, 1/6 Cherry, 1/6 Cardamom, 1/6 Watermelon, pinch of Mint
This one takes a little bit of practice, but if you have a larger bowl to use it's better.
The more jager flavor you want, add more double apple and enjoy!

Sex on the Beach, Sex on the Beach... all I hear is Sex on the Beach!
People don't even know what's in it. We could make them plain strawberry and they wouldn't know the difference.
Well give it up. This one is better, but a little tricky!
Recipe: 1/3 Mango, 1/6 Pineapple, 1/6 Orange, 1/3 Coconut
This one will make your mouth happy.
Enjoy

Here's a unique way to change up your cherry flavor...
Recipe: 2/3 Cherry, 1/3 Orange, pinch of honey.
When making this one be sure to put the honey on the bottom underneath the other flavors as it can overpower the flavoring.
The honey gives it a little more tea-like flavor and the orange will really smoke well.
This has become a favorite at Shisha Lounge and we have to keep stocking cherry
If you're a honey lover, you can add a little more than a pinch or even put it in the same layer as the other flavors for faster cooking.

The taste of this one is pretty self-explanatory... heaven
Normally people don't think of Plum as a sexy flavor to try, but this one might change your perspective.
Recipe:
1/2 Plum, 1/4 Peach, 1/4 Vanilla
We at Shisha Lounge normally use Al Fakher and the peach can dominate if too much is used, so be careful.
The vanilla does a great job of smoothing it out. You can also add a pinch of mint to chill it out.
Enjoy
